what is an acteen staffer?

what is a staffer? Previously called Actioneers, Acteen Staffers have been a vital part of G.A. Camp at Camp Copass for many years. Many of us remember attending camp when we were young and admiring the Acteen Staffers from afar. It is the aspiration of many girls to one day become Acteen Staffers when they are old enough. What campers do not see, however, is the hard work required to prepare for camp and to make camp a success each year. The bottom line – staffers are hard workers!

Here are a few of the duties of Acteen Staffers:
+ Making the campers feel welcome when they arrive at camp
+ Teaching and helping with mission and Bible studies
+ Helping with swim time and working daily at recreation
+ Leading the campers in fun songs before worship services
+ Building relationships with other Acteen Staffers
+ Helping counselors whenever they need it
+ and much more!

As you can see, being an Acteen Staffer is a big job! Even though it is a lot of work, it is very fulfilling to see the girls having fun and learning about God. You will also make life-long friendships with your peers.

If you would like more information about becoming a staffer, please email Libby at libdance@gmail.com or request to join our Facebook group – Acteen Staffers for GA Camp!
